More than Just Surf and Turf
New Smyrna Beach is my favorite beach town, it has a unique small town vacation feel that offers something for everyone, from the foodie to the fam, to the hard core surfers and endurance athletes. There are vacation options for lodging food and activities available for every budget. It’s such a cool place that we at Vacay have decided to offer the Vacay guide to New Smyrna Beach, Vacay like a Local. We will explore dining, shopping, and the abundant extra curricular activities, from Disney to the Discovery Tours.
In New Smyrna beach the vibe is definitely different depending on where you are… Do you want to party on Flagler or desire something more secluded like Bethune? We can help you find a property that is ideally located closer to the things that you’d like to do, and that means less time driving and more time Vacaying.

The range of dining available in NSB is astounding. At last count there were over 100 establishments. For foodies, the dining at places like So Napa, the Baker’s Table, Norwood’s, and The Garlic as well as many others is simply fantastic. There are many reasonable options for everyday dining like the Breaker’s Burger place on Flagler. My choice is the NSB burger and the fries are to die for, all served in a beachfront, open air atmosphere. Ocean’s seafood is another don’t miss for both old style Florida fried food and healthy options like blackened mahi over a Caesar’s salad. Yellow Dog Eats is funky and delicious. If you have a group dinner planned, head over to The Garlic for a tremendously amazing menu, a respectable wine list. Norwood’s treehouse bar is an elevated and cozy beginning to a great evening. I highly recommend the house margarita served under the tree top canopy!
