Kunnari

Cottage Kunnari is located in North Salla by the river Kuolajoki. Kemijärvi 96 km, Salla centre 34 km. Only 5 km "bird's eye view" of the Russian border. Kelloselkä International Border Station 15 km from the cottage towards the center of Salla.

The River Kuolajoki is a 35 m wide backwater at the cottage, with a deep, soft mud bottom. From the pier you can swim well. Rowing boat in use.

The location of the cottage is almost wilderness, very quiet.

The sturdy log cabin was completed in 1996. Spacious living room with 2 extra beds (sofa beds), kitchenette, bakery oven. Upstairs bedroom with 3 beds, access via porch. The cottage has an electric sauna, washroom, dressing room and open porch.

Also separate riverside sauna, wooden heated (10 m²) with fireplace room . There is no electricity in the sauna.

Note: Pets allowed at extra fee, which is charged per reservation Plot well maintained, grassed. Special feature is own small 'island' with grill tepee.

For hire from owner outboard motor and 2 snowmobiles (price agreed with the owner) also quided snowmobile safaris available.

Good terraind for berry- and mushroom picking, also good possibilities for hunting and fishing. The cottage has two fishing traps and fishing nets. Fishing license for nets and for hook and line is obtained.

distances: Salla centre (shops, restaurants, bus station) 34 km, Sallatunturi skiing centre 47 km, Kuojajoki river 40 m. In winter, 1.2 km along the ice road to the Salla-Savukoski road.
