Sunset View Retreat at Eagles Nest - views, pets, near Winery

Sunset View Retreat, located in the Vineyard Reserve of Eagles Nest in Banner Elk, NC, is a comfortable yet refined mountain retreat. The inviting living room, warmed by a gas log fireplace, features a leather sofa and two swivel chairs, all flowing seamlessly into the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a large granite island with four barstools, and the dining table comfortably seats all eight guests, creating a perfect setup for gathering over meals.

For accommodations, the main level includes a king suite with large windows that capture sweeping views toward Tennessee. This bedroom offers a ceiling fan and a wall-mounted TV for added comfort, along with an ensuite bathroom with a double granite vanity and a tiled shower. On the opposite side of the main floor, a second cozy space doubles as a TV lounge, complete with a plush couch that converts to a queen-sized pullout bed. An attached bathroom features a tiled tub/shower combination and granite counters, providing both convenience and style.

Upstairs, guests will find two additional bedrooms and a shared full bathroom in the hallway. The second king bedroom offers mountain views, a ceiling fan, and a TV, while the bunk room includes a twin-over-full bed, a ceiling fan, and a TV—ideal for families or friends traveling together.

Outside, the deck is an ideal spot for relaxing with a glass of wine from the nearby Eagles Nest Winery, which is only a two-minute drive or a small hike away. Relax in the premium BullFrog Spas hot tub. From the deck, steps lead down to the grounds, where a scenic path takes you to the firepit area with chairs—perfect for enjoying quiet evenings under the stars. Sunset View Retreat is a warm and welcoming place to experience the beauty and serenity of Banner Elk.

Please note all visitors on premise at winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced.

Guest do not have access to the locked off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.

Additional Notes:

- This home allows up to 2 dogs for an additional rent of $25 per night per pet plus tax.

​​​​​​​- Firewood for the outdoor firepit may be purchased with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.

- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.

- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.)

- The summer concerts are open to all guests however there may be an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks.

- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.

- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATV's. For information about ATV rentals please visit: Off Road Adventures website

- TVs are streaming only.

- All linens and towels provided.

- This homeowner monitors the entrance with a doorbell camera.

- All Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious amenities.

- Eagles Nest is an up-and-coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday.

- Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

- Guests returning to this home may receive a discount of 10% to the room rent, not to be combined with other discounts.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
