This fully renovated 1940s adobe gem located 1 mile south of downtown Tucson and 3 miles from UofA is the perfect place to enjoy Tucson's weather, downtown area, and even the west side Mercado area. It is an easy drive to Saguaro National Park, downtown, Kino Sports Complex, and UofA Centennial Hall. The house has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, spacious living and dining room, and spacious kitchen with brand new appliances.
Check out is 11AM. Check in is 3PM or later. I have a lockbox for self check in and check out convenience. I will message you with the correct address two days before your stay. The map is wrong and I have requested a correction.
I love to host dogs, but no other pets, please. Dogs only. No dogs allowed on the beds, bedcovers, sheets, or blankets. I do apologize, but it is impossible to clean the linens in a timely manner if the are covered in dog hair.
Tucson water is safe to drink. I have a Brita water pitcher in the fridge and I change the filter every 2-3 months, as suggested, depending on the number of guests hosted. Save your money. Save our planet. Use the Brita pitcher.
Tucson is a multi-cultural city, and this house is in the city in one of the most up-and-coming neighborhoods in Tucson. There are older homes with residents who have lived here for 30 years, and there are beautiful new homes with young families. There is an elementary school nearby, so please watch your speed. It is a mix of all a city neighborhood has to offer. There is no HOA.
On the wall in the kitchen, near the peek-a-boo adobe window, is some information and instructions for guests. I ask that guests please follow these departure instructions, tasks that only take only a minute per guest, but save me so much time when cleaning. I welcome you, but please help me keep it welcoming for the next guest.
This home has tile throughout, so you may want to bring slippers or house socks to wear in winter. The tile will be blissfully cool in summer. There is also a double gate that has to be opened manually to access the driveway. The kitchen and two bedrooms have small steps up into the room. The steps are clearly marked with red tape and nightlights. This is a feature that just couldn't be changed during the renovation.
